January 26, 2009 Officers Meeting Minutes
    Time: 3:30 pm to 4:11 pm
    Attendees: Ila Elson, Doug Keefer, Camille Major, Ken Maxwell, Steve
    Merriman, Paul Schwab and Nik Walch.

    Discussion Topic: Membership Outreach

    •Ken suggested sending an online survey the membership to
      gauge their needs and expectations.  Ken Volunteers to lead
      this effort.

    •Possibilities for carpooling and networking for the San
      Antonio national conference were discussed.

    Discussion Topic: Chapter Meetings for 2009

    •1Q or 2Q 2009 --Abbott Labs

    •May 2009 -- Joint meeting with the Dallas chapter of UPA
      (Usability Professionals Association) to commemorate   
       usability day.
        – HFES volunteers are needed for program committee.
        – Location is the Dallas Art Institute (intersection of Park   Lane and
    Greenville)

    •October “Ergonomics Month” meeting.  Format and location,
      TBD
